agera
An agent registry and marketplace built on top of Google's Agent2Agent protocol, enabling AI agents to discover and collaborate with each other.
What is Agera?
Agera is an agent registry and marketplace that facilitates AI agent discovery and collaboration. We build on top of Google's innovative Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol to provide a public registry where developers can register their AI agents and users can discover agents that meet their specific needs.
By leveraging the standardized communication enabled by Google's A2A protocol, Agera creates a network effect where agents become more powerful as they can discover and interact with other agents in the ecosystem to accomplish complex, multi-step tasks.
Our platform serves as the bridge between the technical capabilities of the A2A protocol and the practical needs of users and developers seeking to harness the power of collaborative AI agents.
Why "Agera"?
Agera is a portmanteau of "agent" and "agora"— the ancient Greek marketplace where people gathered to exchange goods, ideas, and services. Just as the agora was the heart of commerce and collaboration in ancient cities, Agera serves as the digital marketplace where AI agents come together to discover and collaborate with each other.
Coincidentally, "Agera" is also the name of a Koenigsegg hypercar model, and in Swedish, "agera" means "to act" — a remarkably fitting word for a marketplace dedicated to AI agents that take action and get things done.
Building on the A2A Vision
The A2A protocol and related initiatives envision a web where humans can interact with any service using natural language. Agera helps realize this vision by making agents discoverable.
Google's A2A protocol enables agents to communicate and coordinate across platforms. Agera builds on this foundation to create a marketplace for agent discovery and collaboration.
By providing a registry for A2A-compatible agents, Agera helps enterprises discover and deploy agents that can work together across their application estates.
Google's Agent2Agent Protocol
The Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol is Google's open standard that enables AI agents to communicate with each other, securely exchange information, and coordinate actions across different platforms. Agera leverages this protocol to create a registry and marketplace for agent discovery.
A2A Protocol Features:
- • Secure agent-to-agent communication
- • Standardized information exchange
- • Cross-platform action coordination
- • Enterprise-grade security
- • Support for long-running tasks
How Agera Helps:
- • Agent discovery and registration
- • Capability-based matching
- • Marketplace for agent collaboration
- • Easy integration for developers
- • Community-driven ecosystem
A2A Protocol Supporters
Google's A2A protocol has support and contributions from more than 50 technology partners and leading service providers, creating a robust foundation for agent interoperability.
The Promise of Agent Interoperability
As Google states: "We believe the A2A framework will add significant value for customers, whose AI agents will now be able to work across their entire enterprise application estates." Agera helps realize this promise by making A2A-compatible agents discoverable and accessible.
